Going from a Propane Oven to an Air Fryer

Calypso was fitted with a very nice propane oven from the factory. Unfortunately, it really didn't work well by the time we bought the boat. It was a 220V version which required a transformer to power the screen and igniter, the transformer fried itself on our first cruise...Somehow. So the electronics didn't work, then it didn't take long before the propane system within the unit itself stopped working correctly. Victron Galore! Our Boats New Charging System.

Calypso came from the factory with Victron gear for charging but it had another brand of batteries. We replaced those batteries, upgrading to Relion Lithium batteries, not long after buying Calypso but the charging system itself was aging. Plus we wanted more functionality.

Calypso, like most boats, required AC power for several items to run. Hot water heaters, Air Conditioners, Washer and Dryer, etc all required either dock power or generator power to run. That means when it's roasting...

When the time comes to replace everything!

Calypso was equipped from the Antares factory with a complete set of Furuno navigation equipment. It's served us well over the years but time and the saltwater environment take their toll on all things.

As one of our viewers once said, the only thing saltwater doesn't mess up is a fish.

Our radar started to be intermittent, only working when we didn't need it. Should we need it, however, boom! Radar lost. One of our two main chart plotters began to malfunction and...

December Server Access

So excited for this month! Not only is it's our favorite time of year, but (like most) it's our busiest time of year. Jeremiah and I both have our birthdays this month, we just celebrated mine over this past weekend with a little getaway. We spent 2 days relaxing with some yummy food and little bit of champs here and there. It was perfect to be honest. Sometimes I find it hard to do absolutely nothing and that's exactly what we did - it was perfect!
